The sudden death of Ikejiani Chief Victor Oduah has shocked and saddened everyone and has left a deep sense of loss. There is no doubt that Ogbaru community has been diminished by his going.
On behalf of the Ogbaru National Executive and members of the Ogbaru national assocition, I am sending my condolences to the Oduah's family. Today our prayers are for his wife and children, his brother Dr. Emma Oduah, the extended family and for all those for whom the pain is more than they can bear. May God give them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Chief Victor Oduah was a towering figure in the Ogbaru community. In 2004, Chief Oduah contested for the Chairmanship of the Ogbaru Local Government in Anambra State. Before his death, he was the National Vice-President of the Ogbaru national association and past President of Ogbaru United Atlanta, which has been graced by his contributions
for almost ten years.
Over the last two years when I had the privilege of working closely with Ikejiani, I saw at first hand his passion and ability to inspire commitment to making life better for all Ogbaruans. He recently came back from Nigeria where he commissioned our Water Projects at Okoh and Mputu and the Medical Mission at Atani. I'm sure most of you saw the pictures which he sent to all the members.
He was a remarkably energetic and determined person who dedicated his life to the needs and concens of Ogbaru and was faithful to the last and delivered to us achievements that will endure. The people of Okoh and Mputu are downcast to the news of his death.
We have lost a friend and a colleague. We loved him and I will miss him dearly. His passing will leave a vacuum in our national life and the life of many people which will be difficult to fill.
As we travel on the way without him, we bless God for Victor's journey!
May God bless you all and keep us safe.
Odili P. Chukwuemeka
National President
